Why Texas Must Secede.

Before anyone says we have to keep the union together. We go against secession of Texas. These folks do not understand the people of the Lone Star State. It is about self preservation and survival of the economic and culture legacy that sets Texas apart from the rest of the country. Many in Texas now see another reason why Texas should to declare independence. Texas has a unique culture, economy and people. Many Texans take much pride in their history from the settlement under Spanish rule to the Battle of San Jacinto that freed Texas from a tyrannical Mexican Military Dictator General Antonio Lopez Santa Anna. This despot thought he was above the law and the Mexican constitution. His attitude oppressing the people of Texas caused Mexico lose the war trying to control the people.

Texas by its location can be more than just another republic. I can see many airlines doing transcontinental flights moving to Texas bypassing the rest of the United States if they do not have to deal with the TSA. The cost of fuel in an oil rich country would go down significantly which would benefit the airlines passing down the savings to the customers. The Tourist industry would boom because many people taking transcontinental flights might stay in Houston to go to the beach in Galveston, go to San Antonio to see the Alamo and might go to Dallas visiting Daley Plaza to see where JFK was shot. A nice stop to enjoy a couple of days of Texas hospitality .This is just one of the benefits that will happen when Texas achieves independence. What is holding Texas back? Washington DC and the control freaks in congress all the way to the White House.

By law and treaty which the United States violated with the Annexation treaty of 1846 which was never ratified by the US Senate. When Obama tries to confiscate the guns out of the hands of Texans or declare a siege over the skies if Texas reigned in the TSA. We can see an outcry for secession and demand a political divorce from Washington DC. I believe Texas will do so much better on its own. Texas has the 10th largest economy in the world. The State is the second most populace state in America too. Texas must secede for its own survival to preserve its economic and cultural heritage. Texas is tired of the Obama White House Attacking the Texas economy which is very independent and insulated from the rest of the country. The Texas economy is still chugging along regardless were other states have theirs at a complete standstill.

Texas is the only state that flies its flag at equal height to the American Flag because Texas is still a Republic. Not just a state. If President Obama keeps pushing Texas to the edge. If the State legislator ignores the will of the people. The people of Texas will make their own way to achieve independence. Texas should secede because the people are too independent minded and serious about preserving its historical and cultural heritage. The United States is better off without Texas and Texas is better off without the Union. If Obama keeps messing with Texas like he is doing playing dictator. Texas could spell the end to the imperial empire in Washington if the White House decides to try to conquer will be the down fall of his reign. Texas must secede for its own survival. There are no more options left. Washington is broken beyond repair.

  1. check out what's going on in Fairbanks and also in Montana.

  2. Please leave, now!

  3. Would you please take LA, MS, AL, OK and FLA with you? I think it is a great idea to break the country up into new confederations; it ain't working as it is.

  4. As a Mississippian, I'm ok if Mississippi follows Texas. The government has overreached its bounds of law too many times and now is falling into fascism.

  5. Indiana's State Supreme Court, on May 12th, ruled 3-2 that cops can enter your home for ANY or NO reason, as long as they have "a feeling" that they should. And of course as soon as you say, "NO, you may not enter my house without a warrant!", well, that will give the pre-text to enter your house.
    Tyranny is here, folks.
Don't let the cops into your home,
and don't let them into your head.

  6. Funny, I thought it was the unionista liberal that wanted equality for the queers.

  7. How to secede without really trying...
Secede is the proper spelling and I recommend it heartily. Let's do it peacefully this time by treaty. "If at first you don't secede, try and try again." Texas is big enough to be an independent country as indeed it once was. In order to secede, Texas will have to adopt Spanish as an equal official language and offer legal immigration from Mexico, but NO WELFARE. Anglos must learn Spanish and Mexican immigrants MUST learn English. Everyone works. We ALL take care of our families. NO free lunch, no free education, no free medical care, not for Anglos not for anyone. Tax rates limited by constitution; strict gold standard; NO central bank. Ron Paul 2012 for US President; Ron Paul 2016 for Republic of Texas President.
    Nothing secedes like success!

  9. You guys got this all wrong. You can debate secession all day long... there's zero chance the U.S. will let you go. If Alaska or Texas tries to go, the full and awesome power of the U.S. military and gov't will be aimed at crushing the thought.

  10. When a government has ceased to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those inestimable and inalienable rights, becomes an instrument in the hands of evil rulers for their oppression.

When the Federal Republican Constitution of their country, which they have sworn to support, no longer has a substantial existence, and the whole nature of their government has been forcibly changed, without their consent, from a restricted federative republic, composed of sovereign states, to a consolidated central military despotism, in which every interest is disregarded but that of the army and the priesthood, both the eternal enemies of civil liberty, the everready minions of power, and the usual instruments of tyrants.

When, long after the spirit of the constitution has departed, moderation is at length so far lost by those in power, that even the semblance of freedom is removed, and the forms themselves of the constitution discontinued, and so far from their petitions and remonstrances being regarded, the agents who bear them are thrown into dungeons, and mercenary armies sent forth to force a new government upon them at the point of the bayonet.

When, in consequence of such acts of malfeasance and abdication on the part of the government, anarchy prevails, and civil society is dissolved into its original elements. In such a crisis, the first law of nature, the right of self-preservation, the inherent and inalienable rights of the people to appeal to first principles, and take their political affairs into their own hands in extreme cases, enjoins it as a right towards themselves, and a sacred obligation to their posterity, to abolish such government, and create another in its stead, calculated to rescue them from impending dangers, and to secure their future welfare and happiness. more ...

  11. +ELEVENTY BILLION for Mr. Coleman's thoughts.

Yes, I know eleventy isn't a real number. It's the amount fake Keanu Reeves bet on Celebrity Jeopardy (played by Tobey McGuire) where all the celebrities are soul-wrenchingly stupid.

  12. And Mike Rivero of WRH put a link up to this article under the title "Why Texas Must Secceed". Gad.

  13. One has to wonder how much of Texas' GDP is provided by the US defense industry and whether Uncle Sam will continue to pour millions into a seceded Texas.

  14. One problem is with our Texas Constitution, the poor document been amended so often it looks like a piece of Swiss cheese.

If we adopted the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution I would have no problem with secession.

However, being a realist, our state legislature and governors haven't been any better than the USA federal government's congress, bureaucrats and presidents. As this 2011 session well demonstrates.

My Texas FunBelt blog is for tourism purposes and so I have reported on the TSA's nude X-rays and sex-groping of travelers, the Texas approved forced blood taking of DWI suspects, the USA's war on drug users and the resulting TexMex border violence, the new entrance tax into the USA, laptop and cell phone data theft by INS, etc.

  15. The word is spelled "secede."
    Russ Longcore

  16. RealMan, I am thrilled that you finally wrote "secede" instead of "suceed" the way you have been doing...and I don't care if you did misspell it!

And, BTW, if they want to go to the beaches in Galveston, they can just stay in Galveston!

And nice to see you here, Russ.

    Go Aggies!

  17. "...In my long years I have seen empires rise
So proud, so vast, so mighty,
    Proclaiming they shall stand forever,
Then passing away from this Earth,
Leaving only faint traces soon ivied over,..."

From *The Lay of Rafe's Funeral*

  18. Check out the amendments to our Texas Constitution; the document reads like an insurance policy or a software license --

  19. If Ron Paul ever became the President of Texas, peace, wealth and prosperity would be the outcome.
We would, by consequence of policy become a top five economy of the world.
    Secede, NOW!

Start by recalling Joe Strauss as Speaker of the House.

  20. se·cede
To withdraw formally from membership in an organization, association, or alliance.

  21. You Texicans will not secede. How do I know this? Once upon a time you had the cojones to hang horse thieves. Today you are so panty-waist-ed that you piss yourselves and whine about baby thieves. You just don't have it in you anymore. Probably too much fluoride and other drugs in the water.

  22. It's interesting that during the years of the Bush dictatorship, I never read anything about Texas seceding. Is this more partisan politics? If Texas tries to secede, it will not be simple. Will there be a referendum? There will be legal challenges, parts of the state that may want to break apart from Texas, oppressive US government tactics, etc. Having said that, I wish you luck. And hope other states follow suit.

  23. 38% of marine recruits come from Texas. Also the largest military base in the USA is in Texas. Most of the nations nuclear bombs were built at Pantex in the panhandle. Just a few interesting facts.

  24. I think you Texans need to slow down a bit and realize that you don't know quite where your state has been. So how would you know where the reins are to take it someplace else? Until you really look who was all at the Murchison house Nov.21, 1963, who owned the funeral home that provided JFK's make-up, to make him look like he was shot once to the head, and what the owner of the book depository building had to do with him, David Ferry, Oswald and Barry Seal as well as the providers of flight training for the 9-11 patsies, all you will succeed in doing is handing Texas to the bad guys. Ir we could just haul off and shoot anyone we want, secession may be the answer. Fact is, Texas has become as rotten through and through as any state in the union. We need to cowboy up,get down, and clean shit up. And have a party.

  25. When Texas secedes you will have to build a 50' wall around it to keep the Amerikans out.

  26. You Texicans will not secede.

    Heh heh heh.

The USA is the next USSR.

Secession will be thrust upon us.

  27. NobodysaysBOO:
This topic always brings them out,you must get tons of hits and comments on the subject of TEXAS liberty,LOL.
The people of MEXAS run by BUSHWACKERS aint doin nothin aint goin noplace.
The yankees call us brown eyed TEXANS,something to do with BULLSHIT, hmmmm.
    WE even had a NAVY!
Also ever forget what truly great men have to say about our miserable condition:

According to Netanyahu, Israel simply followed in the footsteps of America’s annexation of Texas in 1845. Says Netanyahu, “If America got away with it, I can see no reason why we cannot.”

“We are an Empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you are studying that reality – judiciously as you will – we will act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We are history’s actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” Carl Rove

Do you truly think that a few native TEXANS can beat these crooks? PLEASE!

  28. NobodysaysBOO:
PS:When all of these airlines and tourist come to big D tell them to also visit the TORTURE DISPLAY
at the BUSH prez LIEBERRY at SMU!
CUMMON the kiddies will love it!!!
pss: THANK YOU for allowing FREE SPEECH it is very rare these days!

  29. I recommend just waiting until the Federal Gov't collapses under it's own weight; shouldn't be too long now. Once that happens, the Republic of Texas will rise to fill the vacuum of power. Time to take a good look at the Texas constitution and verify that it protects God-given liberty!

Remember - he who shoots first loses.
